Who we are
TrashBox-80 is an independent NDB Software project created by Nathan D. Baughman. This policy covers trashbox80.com and the TrashBox-80 browser app at app.trashbox80.com.
Programs and opened files
The app reads files you choose with OPEN or drag and drop using browser file APIs. It processes program, cassette, disk, and other supported media on your device. App code does not upload these files, your BASIC input, or gameplay to NDB Software. Bundled game source is fetched from the app’s own site.
Browser storage and downloads
Library / Media uses IndexedDB, a database in your browser, to store imported and saved files. SAVE requests a download and attempts to store a browser copy. Downloads are handled by your browser or operating system. There is no account-based cloud library or server backup of your programs.
Local files are tied to the browser, device, and site address. Clearing site data removes browser-library entries; private browsing and storage limits can affect retention. Export a backup before clearing storage. The promotional website does not use localStorage, IndexedDB, or application cookies.
Analytics, advertising, and telemetry
The website and app code include no analytics service, advertising SDK, tracking pixel, or usage-telemetry sender. Assets and fonts are self-hosted. We do not sell your personal information or build advertising profiles from your activity.
Hosting and connection information
Loading a website still sends normal connection information—such as your IP address, requested URL, and browser headers—to the hosting and network providers that deliver it. Cloudflare may process this information to serve and protect the site. Security services may use cookies or request checks where enabled. This is separate from the local processing of your programs.
Support email
If you email support, we receive your address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate the issue. They are handled by the email provider and are not attached automatically by the app. Ask us by email about deleting support correspondence, subject to any records we need to retain.
External links
Links to NDB Software products, the Apple App Store, and other sites take you to services with their own policies. Those destinations receive normal connection information when you visit them. We do not load their tracking scripts or embed their stores on this site.
Younger users
The app has no user accounts, public chat, or user-content publishing feature. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian can contact us about personal information sent in a support message. See our age recommendation for guidance on learning and imported software.
